come from a Chinese Master Chef family and began learning healthy, wholefood cooking at a young age. My grandpa was the chef for the city of Chongqing, home to 15 million people (equivalent to the London population). Growing up with his refined and relaxed food shaped my home cooking style for decades to come.

As a private chef, I’ve been invited alongside Michelin-starred chefs for British and foreign royal families for high-profile engagements. I cook family meals for a small number of long-term clients who value health and global taste. I also cook at clients’ dinner party celebrations, consistently receiving 5-star reviews.

Previously, I ran my own Supper Club in London and hosted sold-out pop-up events in the Cotswolds. Before my culinary career, I had a career in global finance.

My biggest training came from two decades of cooking in my home kitchen—consistently preparing healthy food and experimenting with different cuisines while creating my own recipes. The freedom of my home kitchen and my healthy lifestyle have gifted me the ability to cook widely diverse and nourishingly healthy food.

Previously, I had a global corporate career which gifted me the experience to taste authentic food from around the world. 

I hold a certificate in Holistic Nutrition and am interested in both ancient culinary wisdom and modern insights into the relationship between natural food and our physical and emotional well-being. I incorporate this knowledge into my cooking.

At 52, I feel a fresh and vibrant energy — thanks to the nourishing gifts of Mother Earth and the magic that unfolds in my home kitchen. Nature is generously loving, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to share the gift of natural, homemade food that nourishes your well-being.

Meet Leo

Born in Yorkshire, sweet and intelligent Cavapoo boy Leo came into Sophie’s life in March 2023. With his teddy bear face and affectionate demeanour, he has adoring fans everywhere he goes. Clients have extended special invitations for him to join Sophie during her cooking sessions. Leo always waits patiently while Sophie creates magic in the kitchen, and never disrupts the cooking process. He spreads love and joy with his presence.

Leo enjoys healthy whole food, racing in nature, and watching ducks and swans with a sense of wonder, sometimes in trance.
